World Diabetes Day & Children’s Day Celebrations 14th Nov. 2017

The Day 14th November is celebrated as World Diabetes Day across the globe in memory of Dr. Frederick Banting for his revolutionary contribution to Medical Science who invented Human Insulin and saved countless lives. Dr. Banting also shares his birthday with Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the day marked in India as Children’s Day.

What can be a better day for Nityaasha children to celebrate? Every step taken at Nityaasha revolves around its children and their families with an honest intention to do better and better each day.

Nityaasha through its small contribution to the society has touched the lives of 183 underprivileged Type 1 Diabetes children by taking care of their day to day medical needs and also with a vision to focus on their overall development and holding their hands to gradually move through their journey towards healthy adulthood.

As a famous quote says “Helping others in need is not only a responsibility of life; it is what gives meaning to life” such belief has brought many well-wishers together to extend their support and join hands with Nityaasha. This year With Love For You Foundation a charity trust and E-square organized a fun filled event for the Type 1 Diabetes children of Nityaasha. 52 children enjoyed watching Marathi Movie “Faster Fene”, munched yummy popcorn in the interval, relished hot sumptuous meal, got gifts and played fun games.

With the support of our sponsors, Nityaasha children got a chance to celebrate World Diabetes Day & Children’s day with fun and frolic. Such moments add positivity in the lives of these children which helps them to deal courageously with a life-threatening disorder like Type 1 Diabetes and feel blessed to be loved and pampered as children.
