Reference by Doctor
Reference of children from economically weaker section of the society with Epilepsy is given to Nityaasha by the associated doctors.
Initial Family Visit
The Enrollment process starts with the Initial home visit to understand and assess the child’s medical history , socio-economic condition of the family, support system etc.
Approval of committee Members
As per the selection criteria, the social workers prepare a brief report and send it to the managing committee for a thorough screening.
After approval and selection by Managing Committee, the patients are enrolled under Nityaasha care.
Services provided during Clinic Visit at Nityaasha Centre:
- Doctor’s Consultation
Post-enrollment clinic visit at Nityaasha Centre are mandatory for every child. For children with Epilepsy every 3 months.
- Socio-Psycho Counselling
Understanding the family’s socio-psycho problems and counsel them to deal with various crises.
- Dispensing of Medical aid
Free anti-Epileptic Medicines are dispensed as per the doctor’s prescription.
Supervision and Monitoring
- Follow up Home /School Visits
Follow up home/school visits are the most important and unique aspect of Nityaasha’s care. We reach out to the families ‘at home’ and are able to achieve our objectives by:
- Educating the family members and the eco structure around the child using flip charts, and other educative materials.
- Spreading awareness about the disorder.
- Developing rapport with the families by giving them moral support and confidence to lead a normal life.
- Follow up Calls
Regular calls to the enrolled patient’s family helps us to check on the condition of the child, provide reminders regarding diet, medication, clinic visits etc. and reiterate our concern and support for the child.
Free EEG and MRI tests are done as per doctors advice.
